Day 01: Chennai: Welcome to India! On
arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Over night
in your hotel.
Day 02: Cochin: After a leisurely breakfast
move out for a daylong sightseeing tour of the city. Visit
the Jew Town to the Paradesi Synagogue and International
Pepper Exchange. Also visit the Chinese Fishing Nets, Vasco
Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church,
VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow and Mattancherry Palace.
In the evening, enjoy the Kathakkali Dance Presentation.
Over night stay at hotel.
Day 03: Munnar: After a leisurely breakfast
drive straight to Munnar. On arrival check in to your hotel.
Move out to visit Pothamedu for an excellent view of the
tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The breath
taking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain
walks. Return to your resort in the evening.
Day 04: Periyar: Morning after breakfast
drive to Periyar .Periyar is also called as Thekkedy .The
Periyar wild life sanctuary is one of the India’s
Major Wild life sanctuary it was declared a Tiger reserve
in 1978 .The sanctuary offers a lovely and comfortable way
to see the animals via boat rides on the man made Lake .On
arrival Thekkedy check in resort. Later proceed for a local
tour visit Periyar lake, Periyar wild life sanctuary etc
evening boating at Periyar lake and over night stay at resort.
Day 05: Periyar: Set high in the ranges
of the Western Ghats, in God’s Own Country, Kerala,
is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Apart from
Elephants, the other animals to be seen in the Periyar sanctuary
are Gaur, Wild Pigs, Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Dole
or Indian Wild Dog and very rarely, a Tiger. There are,
now, an estimated 40 tigers here. Four species of primates
are found at Periyar - the rare lion-tailed macaque, the
Nilgiri Langur, Common Langur And Bonnet Macaque. Periyar
also happens to be the habitat of the elusive Nilgiri Tahr,
which is rarely to be seen.
Day 06: Kumarakom (House boat): Morning
after breakfast transfer to deluxe house boat for a 24hrs
Kerala back water cruise covering Kumarakom and Alleppey
back waters. Each houseboat is of excellent construction
and luxurious furnishing with exquisite flooring, hull and
valavara (canopy). They are in top cruise worthy condition.
With a sun deck, spacious living / dining area.
With attached toilets. Houseboat is usually manned by a
crew, comprising a cook, a guide and oarsman. While aboard
you can avail similar facilities offered in a star hotel.
All meals will be served inside the house boat open top
dinning gall and over night stay at House boat.
Day 07: Alleppey: Morning after breakfast
check out house boat by the time house boat will be reached
Alleppey. Board the cab and proceed for a local tour of
Alleppey is a district of immense natural beauty. Referred
to as the Venice of the East by travelers from across the
world, this backwater country is also home to diverse animal
and bird life Visit Kuttanad also called as rice bowel of
Kerala because of her wealth of paddy crops, is at the very
heart of the backwaters then visit Alappuzha beach then
further drive to Cochin. Over Night in your Hotel.
Day 08: Chennai: After a leisurely breakfast
drive straight to Chennai and directly transferred to the
International Airport to board the flight back to home.
